How to get to Transcendence:

There are a few ways to get to transcendence:

  1. Go to titan, run through to the stairway between level 2 and level 3, and 'transcend'
  2. WAit for

Area Overview:

When you get to Transcendence, you are in the center of the area (a large 7x7 block with "nomap" rooms outside)

The inner 5x5 of the area is generally aggro-free, while the outer ring (Frayed Space) is aggro.

Beyond Frayed Space is Void's Abyss. At first glance, Void's abyss looks like a maze, but it is really just an extension of the square you have been moving around in. The catch is that you cannot re-enter Frayed Space without killing a mob called Dimensional Fold and entering a rift that it sometimes opens.

Epic Overview:

The premise of the epic is simple, we need to get into Aion's keep, and kill him in the face until he is dead... he's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve to keep us busy for a bit, but the goal is rather simple.. get in, kill, profit!

To get back to the epic if you have died, you must stand in the first room of the area and wait for the engineer to transport you back in. You can pay him 250,000 gold to make him transport you immediately during a phase, or after a phase is complete, you can simply say "ready" for him to transport you.

Accumulating Points/Rewards

The epic can be run every 3 hours, and your points that are accumulated based on the number of runs you did 'this week' with the clock being reset at 00:00 on Saturday morning, Easter time.

Points Accumulation
Runs 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Points will reset to 25 at the start of the next week
Points 25 15 8 4 2 1 1 1

Rank is determined by the number of cumulative points you have earned since inception, which can be checked by typing 'records' at the center room of the area.

Phase 1: Ragnarok Construct

follow self, autoassist on

In Phase 1, the Titanic Engineer in the center of the area is charging the Ragnarok Construct.

In order to charge the Construct, 5 players have to be in the center room, and 5 Conduits have to be on the floor to draw mana/moves from the players at programmed intervals. Besides the players in the center, the rest should be out clearing mobs 2-3 rooms away from the center.

Important mobs to note:

Scouts - Will steal the conduits if allowed to go to the center. Will move towards the center, so constant webbing is required as they cast dissolve.

Executioner - Upgraded Scouts?? (To confirm)

Angelic Warriors - Pretty easy to kill, but if they get to the center, they are buffed according to number of players in room and become tough, so they need to be cleared off.

Cherub -

Caution: if you AFK at center, you will eventually run out of mana/moves, and the construct will draw heavily on your HP.

While this is happening, monsters are spawning out in the abyss and are moving towards the center to prevent you from charging the construct. They do this by stealing the conduits.

If a conduit is stolen, the construct charges slower - You can see what stole the conduit by giving 250,000 gold to the engineer at the center.

Bonus:

The nature of this phase is that you will lose HP, in some cases rapidly. You can 'restore' yourself by finding the room with the Nexus and typing 'channel'. This shows as a green exclamation mark on your map if you are using mushclient, but only if no one else is in the room, so please clear away from the room once you have used the Nexus.

Phase 2: Into the Void

follow self, autoassist off

During Phase 2, the objective is to kill the Void Guardians within 20 or so seconds of each other.

The catch is that these guardians are in a 120 room maze (GMCP ID: 47684 - 47805) that is randomly generated every time the epic is run, and special aggo mobs tendrils spawn to slow you down while you navigate the maze. Troopers will spawn on the guardians occasionally.

Strategy:

The most common strategy is to navigate the maze, and kill the guardians. Periodically the leader will check on the percentage of the guardians to make sure they are dying at approximately the same pace.

During Phase 2, Oracles can and should cast Eye of Warning on several players who should navigate the maze to find the Lurker. If killed, the Lurker will allow the group to receive a special item during Phase 3.

Caution:

If you sit still too long in one room, you will be teleported to a mob that you cannot defeat, and it will kill you.

Items:

You get some items to help out along the way -- during this phase, several people will get a "Void Blade" that will be useful throughout the epic.

The Void blade should be wielded or dualed by whomever receives it... on special mobs, the void blade does a certain amount of mobprog damage in addition to its regular attack. Also, on most invulnerable mobs, the void blade makes the mobs vulnerable to regular attacks, so that the rest of the group can kill them.

There is no requirement to have the void bladers attack the guardians in the maze, but every bit of damage helps

Bonus:

It has been discovered that you can "transcend" within phase 2. This takes you to a room with a locked rift. If the rift is open, you can go up and type "map" to see a map of the area, including the locations of some mobs.

Phase 3: Divinity's Siege

follow lane leader, autoassist on

During Phase 2, the objective is to Storm the Castle!

The group will divide in to the three lanes and progress forward evenly until they reach the gate. Once they do, the group attacks the gate to breach the castle wall.

There are a few special roles for this section that are assigned by the Leader: Control, Pylons, Lane Leader, and if the Lurker was killed in Phase 2, a Shroud will be given to a random player.

Roles:

Control:

The leader will assign the player in "control" who will command the battlefield. They have several commands they can use to view what is going on from their position "up" from start. These are all described in the command room.

Pylon:

The person controlling the Pylon will have to push the pylon up lane B behind the group. They will "Fire N" the pylon which will do area damage in the first room with monsters (2 room range). The Pylon is extremely important when the group gets to the gate, as each shot does around 500k damage to the gate.

Shroud:

If the group killed the Lurker in Phase two, a Shroud of the Void will be randomly be given to a player at the start of Phase 3. Step 1, wear shroud - Step 2, "slay <target>".

This player often will kill "Special Mobs" as called out by the person in Command. When they engage these mobs they need to "slay <target>" which has a 40s cooldown, but will deal massive damage to the target.

The Shroud wearer will also scan for and manually engage Angelic Vanquishers (as these cannot be seen/called out by Control).

Lane Leader:

The lane leaders will essentially lead the lanes, and 'move' when command tells them to. There are no other special activities for the Lane Leader.

Restorative Crystal:

The Restorative Crystal can be used to "heal" any target for 25,000 hitpoints. Just wear the crystal, and 'heal <target>'

Strategy:

Phase 4: Aion's End

Objective:

Kill Aion

Roles:

Pylons:

This person starts by pushing one pylon to the SE corner, and another due S from Aion. After that, they sit in the SE corner and stack "fire nw;run 3w;fire n;run 3e" which will fire pylons roughly at the same time.

You want to do this so that the two blasts 'combine' as they hit Aion. This is important because in the event Aion is presently invulnerable, the combined shot has a high likelihood of breaking his shield.

Note: the pylons will also hit orbs, which rotate clockwise around the map.
